1. Explore The First Christian Country In The world
Armenia was the first country in the world that adopted Christianity as a state religion. It happened in 301 AD. Etchmiadzin Cathedral, is known as the first Christian cathedral in the world. We’ll be visiting this magnificent site on Day Two of our Armenian journey! Also included in our travels – a visit to the mysterious Monastery of Geghard, half-carved in the rock and over 800 years old, as well as the Monastery of Tatev, a pearl of medieval Armenian architecture.
