Activity Level

Our tours are designed for travelers who are comfortable with daily mobility. Each day offers the opportunity to explore a new town or village, which may involve walking for up to an hour or more. This walking can occur on uneven terrain, including navigating stairs, and often requires getting in and out of vehicles. While the pace is manageable, it is essential that you can walk independently with the group and do not require assistance.

  • Round-trip airport transfers are included—from Yerevan Airport to your hotel upon arrival, and from your hotel to the airport in Tbilisi at the end of the trip

DAY ONE – Monday, June 8th – Yerevan – Arrival

Arrive at Zvartnots International Airport in Yerevan, where you’ll be met by our staff who will assist you with arrival formalities. Afterward, you’ll be introduced to your driver for a transfer to your accommodations: Armenia Marriott Hotel Yerevan. Due to varying arrival times, dinner will be on your own.

DAY TWO – Tuesday, June 9th – Yerevan

Start your day with a leisurely breakfast at the hotel, then gather in the lobby to meet our guide and receive a brief orientation. The morning continues with a scenic city tour offering a glimpse into the vibrant culture and landmarks of Yerevan, followed by a visit to Victory Park. There, you’ll enjoy a short walking tour and a chance to snap photos with the iconic Mother Armenia statue.

Transfer to a local restaurant where you’ll savor a delicious lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy a walk to the famous Cascade complex—an open-air museum of contemporary art and sweeping views of the city. You’ll have free time to explore the area at your own pace before returning to the hotel.

This evening, enjoy a festive dinner featuring traditional Armenian cuisine, accompanied by a musical program and a lively cultural show.

DAY THREE – Wednesday, June 10th – Yerevan

A scenic drive will take us to Khor Virap Monastery, with a photo stop along the way to take in stunning views of Mount Ararat rising behind the monastery. Upon arrival, explore this sacred site rich in history and spiritual significance, and experience a special blessing ceremony led by the monastery’s abbot.

Continue through Armenia’s dramatic landscapes to the medieval Noravank Monastery, beautifully set among the striking red cliffs of the Gnishik Canyon. Take time to explore the intricate architecture and peaceful surroundings before heading to a local restaurant for a relaxing lunch.

After lunch, return to our hotel. The remainder of the afternoon is at leisure, allowing time to relax or explore at your own pace. In the evening, enjoy dinner at MAYRIG restaurant, just a short walk from the hotel, before settling in for the night.

DAY FOUR – Thursday, June 11th – Yerevan, Zvartnots, Machanents Cultural Center

Begin the day with a visit to the remarkable Zvartnots Archaeological Site, where the ruins of the 7th-century Zvartnots Cathedral stand as a testament to Armenia’s early Christian heritage. Continue to the nearby town of Vagharshapat to explore Etchmiadzin Cathedral, the spiritual center of the Armenian Apostolic Church and one of the world’s oldest cathedrals. During your visit, discover the Treasury Museum, home to revered Christian relics including a piece of Noah’s Ark, the Holy Lance, and fragments of the True Cross.

Enjoy lunch at the Machanents Cultural Center, a unique and inspiring space that offers free arts and crafts education to local children. This meaningful stop offers not only a delicious meal but also insight into the community and its creative traditions.

Return to Yerevan for a special cultural experience at a local musician’s home. Set in a peaceful garden, enjoy a private performance featuring traditional Armenian woodwind instruments such as the duduk, shvi, and zurna—an intimate and memorable way to connect with the country’s musical heritage.

After some time at leisure back at the hotel, head out for an evening at the Armenia Wine Factory. Take a guided tour of the facility, then enjoy a wine tasting and an exclusive private dinner in the underground Wine History Museum of Armenia. Surrounded by centuries of winemaking tradition, this unique setting provides a perfect finale to a day rich in culture, history, and authentic local experiences.

DAY FIVE – Friday, June 12th – Yerevan, Genocide Museum & Memorial, Lake Sevan

The day opens with a meaningful visit to the Armenian Genocide Memorial, where you’ll take part in a quiet and respectful flower-laying ceremony at the eternal flame. Continue to the museum for a guided tour that offers powerful insight into this significant chapter of Armenia’s history.

From there, travel to the shores of Lake Sevan, often called the “Pearl of Armenia,” for a relaxing lunch with beautiful lake views. Afterward, visit the Sevanavank Monastery, perched atop the Sevan Peninsula. Reaching the monastery involves a climb of approximately 200 steps, but the panoramic views of the lake and surrounding landscape make the effort well worthwhile.

Return to Yerevan in the afternoon and enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure—perfect for resting, exploring, or shopping at your own pace.

In the evening, experience a private visit to Ardean Design Studio, where you’ll enjoy light snacks, wine, and a live musical performance in a creative and intimate setting. Afterward, take a short walk to Grand Ost restaurant for dinner, bringing the day to a memorable close.

DAY SIX –  Saturday, June 13th – Yerevan, Geghard Monastery, Azat Gorge

Set out for the remarkable Geghard Monastery, a UNESCO-listed complex partially carved into the mountainside. While exploring its ancient chambers, enjoy a moving performance of medieval Armenian spiritual chants by a local choir, echoing beautifully within the cave walls. Continue to the nearby village of Garni to visit the iconic Temple of Garni, the only surviving Greco-Roman colonnaded structure in the region.

A short walk leads to a charming house-restaurant, where you’ll be warmly welcomed with traditional folk songs and dance. Experience a hands-on lavash bread baking ceremony, followed by a tasting of the freshly baked bread served with herbs and homemade cheese. Enjoy a leisurely lunch in this inviting setting, surrounded by local culture and hospitality.

In the afternoon, travel to the Azat Gorge to witness the breathtaking Symphony of Stones, a natural wonder of towering basalt columns that resemble a grand organ carved by nature. After taking in the dramatic scenery, return to Yerevan and enjoy some time at leisure.

The evening begins with an exclusive private visit to the Sergei Parajanov House-Museum, dedicated to the legendary filmmaker and artist. Sip welcome drinks as you explore the museum on a guided tour, accompanied by live harp music and light refreshments in the courtyard. The day concludes with a special dining experience at Renommée restaurant before returning to the hotel.

DAY SEVEN – Sunday, June 14th – Yerevan, Gyumri

After breakfast, check out of the hotel and depart for the charming city of Gyumri, known for its rich cultural heritage and artistic spirit. Upon arrival, visit the Museum of National Architecture and Urban Life, where you’ll gain insight into the city’s history, traditional lifestyle, and the crafts that have shaped its identity over generations.

Continue with a short drive and walking tour through the historic Kumayri district, the old town of Gyumri. Stroll along cobblestone streets lined with distinctive black tuff stone buildings, discovering the unique character and resilience of this vibrant city. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, offering a taste of regional cuisine in an authentic setting.

In the afternoon, visit the studio of a local artist for a hands-on stone carving workshop. This engaging experience provides a deeper appreciation for Armenia’s long-standing artistic traditions and allows you to connect with the local creative community.

Afterward, transfer to your hotel in Gyumri and check in – The Radisson Hotel & Spa Gyumri. The remainder of the day is at leisure, giving you time to relax or explore further on your own. Dinner is on your own this evening.

DAY EIGHT – Monday, June 15th – Gyumri, COAF Smart Center, Tbilisi

After breakfast, check out of the hotel and depart for the Lori Region, traveling through Armenia’s scenic countryside. Your first stop is the COAF Smart Center, an innovative educational hub that provides free, non-formal learning opportunities for children from surrounding rural communities. During your visit, learn about the center’s impactful programs in areas such as robotics, technology, agriculture, and languages.

Enjoy lunch at the nearby Concept Hotel, where modern design meets local hospitality, before continuing your journey toward the Armenia–Georgia border. After completing border formalities, you’ll be welcomed by your Georgian guide and driver, marking the beginning of the next chapter of your journey.

Continue on to Tbilisi, Georgia’s vibrant capital, where you’ll check in at the Swissôtel. The evening is at leisure, allowing time to relax or begin exploring the city. Dinner will be enjoyed at the hotel’s Olives restaurant, offering a comfortable and stylish introduction to your stay in Tbilisi.

DAY NINE – Tuesday, June 16th – Tbilisi

Today set out to explore Tbilisi, a captivating city where myth, history, and modern life intertwine. As you wander through the Old Town, you’ll experience a rich blend of cultures, traditions, and architectural styles shaped by centuries of traders, rulers, and diverse communities. The city’s charm reveals itself in its narrow streets, inner courtyards, historic churches, and the ever-present energy of its people.

Highlights of the day include visits to some of Tbilisi’s most iconic landmarks. Take in sweeping views from the Metekhi Plateau and admire the Church of the Assumption, a beautiful example of Georgian cross-domed architecture. Discover the city’s religious diversity at the Georgian Synagogue and the historic Sioni Cathedral, long associated with the country’s spiritual leadership. Visit the Anchiskhati Basilica, the oldest surviving church in Tbilisi, and ascend by cable car to Narikhala Fortress, where panoramic views of the city unfold below.

Pause midday for lunch at Maspindzelo restaurant, where you’ll enjoy traditional Georgian cuisine in a welcoming setting. In the afternoon, continue your cultural exploration with a visit to the National Museum of Georgia, where the Archaeological Treasury offers a fascinating look into the country’s ancient past.

The day concludes with dinner at Margalita restaurant, located within easy walking distance of the hotel. Enjoy a relaxed evening reflecting on a day filled with history, culture, and the vibrant spirit of Tbilisi.

DAY TEN – Wednesday, June 17th – Tbilisi, Cave of Uplistsikhe, Gori

Set out in the morning for a journey through Georgia’s ancient past with a visit to the cave town of Uplistsikhe. Carved into the rocky cliffs along the Mtkvari River, this remarkable site dates back to the early Iron Age and showcases a fascinating blend of pagan and early Christian architecture. Wander through its network of tunnels, halls, and chambers, gaining insight into one of the region’s oldest continuously inhabited settlements.

Continue to the nearby city of Gori, known as the birthplace of Joseph Stalin. Here, visit the Stalin Museum, where you can explore the modest house where he was born, along with personal artifacts and his private railway carriage, offering a glimpse into this complex historical figure and era.

After lunch at a local restaurant, travel to Mtskheta, the ancient capital of Georgia and a deeply spiritual center. Visit the impressive Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the country’s most sacred landmarks, believed to house the Robe of Christ. Continue to Jvari Church, perched dramatically on a hilltop overlooking the confluence of the Aragvi and Mtkvari rivers. DAY ELEVEN – Thursday, June 18th – Tbilisi, Kakheti

Today’s journey takes you to Kakheti, Georgia’s most picturesque and fertile region, nestled between the Alazani Valley and the towering peaks of the Greater Caucasus Mountains. Known as the birthplace of winemaking, Kakheti is home to a rich viticultural tradition, with hundreds of grape varieties cultivated over centuries in this sun-drenched landscape.

Begin with a visit to the Bodbe Nunnery, a serene and spiritual site where St. Nino, the 4th-century evangelist who brought Christianity to Georgia, is buried. Continue to the charming hilltop town of Sighnaghi, often referred to as the “City of Love.” Surrounded by defensive walls, this beautifully restored town is known for its wine culture, artisan crafts, and sweeping views over the Alazani Valley. Stroll through its cobbled streets, lined with wooden balconies adorned with intricate carvings, and soak in its unique atmosphere.

Enjoy lunch at Litera restaurant, a refined setting known for its creative approach to traditional Georgian cuisine.

The afternoon is at leisure, offering time to relax or explore further at your own pace. For those interested, optional experiences include a private boat ride along the Mtkvari River with drinks, or a visit to Tbilisi’s famous sulphur baths for a relaxing and rejuvenating soak.
