Activity Level

Our tours are designed for travelers who are comfortable with daily mobility. Each day offers the opportunity to explore a new town or village, which may involve walking for up to an hour or more. This walking can occur on uneven terrain, including navigating stairs, and often requires getting in and out of vehicles. While the pace is manageable, it is essential that you can walk independently with the group and do not require assistance.

Highlights & Inclusions:

  • Round-trip airport transfers are included—from Yerevan Airport to your hotel upon arrival, and from your hotel to the airport in Tbilisi at the end of the trip

DAY ONE – Monday, June 8th – Yerevan – Arrival

Arrive at Zvartnots International Airport in Yerevan, where you’ll be met by our staff who will assist you with arrival formalities. Afterward, you’ll be introduced to your driver for a transfer to your accommodations: Armenia Marriott Hotel Yerevan. Due to varying arrival times, dinner will be on your own.

DAY TWO – Tuesday, June 9th – Yerevan

Start your day with a leisurely breakfast at the hotel, then gather in the lobby to meet our guide and receive a brief orientation. The morning continues with a scenic city tour offering a glimpse into the vibrant culture and landmarks of Yerevan, followed by a visit to Victory Park. There, you’ll enjoy a short walking tour and a chance to snap photos with the iconic Mother Armenia statue.

Transfer to a local restaurant where you’ll savor a delicious lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy a walk to the famous Cascade complex—an open-air museum of contemporary art and sweeping views of the city. You’ll have free time to explore the area at your own pace before returning to the hotel.

This evening, enjoy a festive dinner featuring traditional Armenian cuisine, accompanied by a musical program and a lively cultural show.

DAY THREE – Wednesday, June 10th – Jermuk

Today we set out on a scenic drive to Khor Virap Monastery. Situated near the Turkish border with a stunning view of Mount Ararat, Khor Virap is one of Armenia’s most significant pilgrimage sites. Enjoy a guided tour of the monastery, rich with history and spiritual resonance.

Continue the journey to Noravank, a magnificent 13th-century monastery nestled in a dramatic red-rock canyon. Take a moment to explore the intricate stonework and bask in the breathtaking surroundings. Afterward, enjoy a short drive to a local restaurant, where you’ll have a leisurely lunch, savoring Armenian cuisine in a relaxed setting.

Following lunch, travel to the spa town of Jermuk, known for its natural mineral waters and mountain air. Upon arrival, check in at the Grand Resort Jermuk Hotel and unwind during the afternoon with time to rest or enjoy the resort’s recreational offerings.

In the early evening, take a pleasant walking tour through Jermuk, visiting the mineral water gallery and experiencing the town’s therapeutic charm. Return to the hotel for dinner.

DAY FOUR – Thursday, June 11th – Tatev to Yerevan

After breakfast, check out of the hotel and begin your journey to the Halidzor station, the starting point of the renowned Wings of Tatev aerial tramway.

Board the aerial tram for a scenic glide over the Vorotan Gorge, arriving in the charming village of Tatev. There, you’ll explore the stunning 9th-century Tatev Monastery, perched dramatically on a cliffside and steeped in history, spirituality, and architectural beauty.

Following the tour, return by aerial tramway to Halidzor and enjoy lunch at a nearby restaurant, which serves delicious local fare with picturesque views.

In the afternoon, travel to the family-run Old Bridge Winery, where you’ll be welcomed with a guided wine tasting featuring traditional Armenian varietals. Relax and enjoy a delightful dinner on-site, surrounded by the vineyard’s peaceful ambiance, before setting off on your return drive to Yerevan in the evening.

DAY FIVE – Friday, June 12th – Yerevan

Enjoy a full day at leisure in Yerevan, Armenia’s vibrant and welcoming capital. Start your morning with a relaxed breakfast and perhaps a stroll through the city’s leafy parks or along Northern Avenue, where shops, cafés, and street performers add to the lively atmosphere.

Spend your afternoon exploring the city’s many museums and galleries, such as the History Museum of Armenia or the Matenadaran, which houses an extensive collection of ancient manuscripts. Take a break at a local café to sample strong Armenian coffee or a glass of homemade fruit compote. If you’re feeling adventurous, wander through the Vernissage open-air market, where you can find handmade crafts, jewelry, and Soviet-era curiosities.

As evening falls, Yerevan comes alive with music and warm hospitality. Dine at one of the city’s many restaurants, whether you’re in the mood for traditional Armenian fare, modern fusion, or international cuisine. You might end the day with a performance at the opera house, a glass of wine on Saryan Street, or simply soaking in the illuminated beauty of Republic Square as its fountains dance to music.

DAY SIX –  Saturday, June 13th – Yerevan, Genocide Museum & Memorial

The day begins with a reflective visit to the Armenian Genocide Museum and Memorial. A guided tour provides a moving and educational experience, offering insight into one of the most significant chapters of Armenia’s history. Following the museum visit, take part in a solemn flower-laying ceremony at the memorial site, paying tribute to the victims.

Next, travel to the home of a local musician, where a private outdoor concert awaits. Set in the garden, this intimate performance features traditional Armenian woodwind instruments, including the duduk, shvi, and zurna. The music provides a rich and emotional connection to Armenian culture and heritage.

Return to the hotel for an afternoon and lunch at your leisure. The afternoon is yours to rest, explore, or shop at your own pace before the evening’s festivities.

In the evening, visit the Megerian Carpet Factory for a brief tour that highlights Armenia’s ancient weaving traditions. Then, enjoy a lively dinner and celebration featuring a “QEF” party with music from a DJ and live performances by the “Sasna Tsrer” folk music group. Guests are invited to join in traditional Armenian dancing, with dancers offering instruction to all who wish to participate.

DAY SEVEN – Sunday, June 14th – Garni

After enjoying breakfast, set out on a scenic drive to the Geghard Monastery Complex, a UNESCO World Heritage Site nestled among cliffs.

Next, travel to a rustic house-restaurant in the village of Garni for lunch. This experience includes a lavash baking workshop and cultural presentation, offering a hands-on look at one of Armenia’s most cherished culinary traditions.

Following lunch, drive a short distance to the Temple of Garni—the only remaining Greco-Roman colonnaded temple in Armenia. Discover its fascinating history and architectural beauty, set against a backdrop of dramatic gorges and mountains.

Return to the hotel in Yerevan for some time at leisure to relax. In the evening, enjoy an exclusive private tour of the Matenadaran Museum of Ancient Manuscripts, which houses one of the world’s richest collections of medieval texts.

The day concludes with dinner at a beloved local restaurant known for its Armenian and Mediterranean flavors. After dinner, return to the hotel and reflect on a day filled with history, tradition, and culture.

DAY EIGHT – Monday, June 15th – Etchmiadzin

After breakfast, gather in the hotel lobby and depart for the sacred city of Etchmiadzin, considered the spiritual heart of Armenia. Begin your visit with a tour of the Treasury Museum, home to an exceptional collection of religious relics, manuscripts, and artifacts tied to the Armenian Apostolic Church and centuries of Christian history.

After a short break to refresh, continue to a local NGO for a meaningful afternoon visit. Guests will have the opportunity to engage with the organization, share small gifts, and enjoy lunch alongside its members, creating a heartwarming and memorable cultural exchange.

In the late afternoon, return to the hotel for some well-deserved rest and time to prepare for the evening’s special program.

The day concludes with a private visit to the Sergei Parajanov Museum, dedicated to the life and work of the renowned Armenian filmmaker and artist Sergei Parajanov. A reception and traditional music accompany a short guided tour. Enjoy dinner in the museum’s courtyard, surrounded by art and ambiance, before returning to the hotel.

DAY NINE – Tuesday, June 16th – Lake Sevan to Tbilisi, Georgia

After breakfast at the hotel, check out and begin the day’s scenic journey with a drive to Lake Sevan, one of the largest high-altitude freshwater lakes in the world. Upon arrival, visit the historic Sevanavank Monastery, perched on the Sevan Peninsula and offering breathtaking views of the lake’s shimmering blue waters.

From there, enjoy a leisurely boat ride across the lake to reach the lakeside restaurant where lunch is served with panoramic views and the fresh breeze of Sevan.

Continue the journey with a drive to the picturesque village of Dzoraget, nestled along the Debed River. Stop at the Tufenkian Avan Dzoraget Hotel for a coffee break and a chance to freshen up before continuing.

The afternoon leads to the Armenia-Georgia border. After completing border crossing formalities, we’ll meet our Georgian guide and driver, who will accompany us through the next phase of our journey. Finally, enjoy a drive to your hotel in Tbilisi, arriving in the evening, ready to begin your adventures in Georgia. Check in to the beautiful Swissôtel Tbilisi and enjoy dinner on your own.

DAY TEN – Wednesday, June 17th – Tbilisi

Begin your day with an immersive city tour of Georgia’s captivating capital, Tbilisi—a city where myth, history, and culture intertwine. As you explore, you’ll encounter a dynamic fusion of tradition and modernity, where the scent of spices drifts through bustling streets and the echoes of poetry and polyphonic songs fill the air. Tbilisi’s diverse roots are on full display, with various cultures and faiths sharing space in the city’s charming courtyards and alleyways.

Stroll through the Old Town, a maze of narrow streets, historic homes, and hidden courtyards that reflect centuries of influence by traders, warriors, and rulers. Along the way, marvel at the city’s Sulphur bathhouses, ornate churches, vibrant art galleries, and world-class museums—testaments to Tbilisi’s rich and layered past.

Take a midday pause for a delicious lunch at “Bread House,” a beloved Tbilisi restaurant where traditional Georgian cuisine is served fresh in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Enjoy local favorites while soaking in the flavors and spirit of Georgian hospitality.

In the evening, gather for dinner. Set against the backdrop of the city’s historic Metekhi district, this lively evening features authentic Georgian folk music and dancing—a joyous celebration of the culture and spirit that define Tbilisi.

DAY ELEVEN – Thursday, June 18th – Mtskheta, Tbilisi

After breakfast at the hotel, begin the day with a visit to Mtskheta, the ancient capital of Georgia and the spiritual heart of the country, beautifully located at the confluence of the Aragvi and Mtkvari rivers. Mtskheta is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Begin with Jvari Monastery, a remarkable 6th-century cross-shaped church situated high on a cliff, offering stunning views of the surrounding rivers and valleys. According to legend, this is where St. Nino, the female evangelist who brought Christianity to Georgia, erected a wooden cross on the site of a former pagan temple.

Continue to Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, dating back to the 11th century. This fortified cathedral is one of the most important religious sites in Georgia, believed to house the buried Robe of Christ. The cathedral remains in use today and is revered for its stunning frescoes, intricate stone carvings, and profound spiritual significance.

In the afternoon, travel to the ancient cave town of Uplistsikhe, carved into the rocky left bank of the Mtkvari River. This fascinating site features structures spanning the Early Iron Age to the Middle Ages, including temples, dwellings, and streets. Uplistsikhe offers a unique glimpse into Georgia’s ancient past and early urban development.

Enjoy lunch in Gori, a nearby town, before returning to Tbilisi in the evening for dinner at a local restaurant, capping off a full day of history, culture, and remarkable landscapes.

DAY TWELVE – Friday, June 19th – Kakheti, Tbilisi

Today, we journey into Kakheti, one of the most picturesque and fertile regions of Georgia. Nestled against the backdrop of the Great Caucasus Mountains and the Alazani Valley, whose snowcapped peaks rise over 3,000 meters, Kakheti is renowned as the birthplace of Georgian winemaking. With its rich soil, abundant sunshine, and centuries of dedication, the region has cultivated over 500 varieties of grapes.

Our day includes a visit to Sighnaghi, a charming fortified town known for its wine and carpet-making traditions. With its cobbled streets, wooden balconies adorned with intricate carvings, and sweeping views of the Kizikhi area, Sighnaghi has earned the nickname “Royal Town.” A stroll through the narrow streets reveals the town’s unique charm and timeless beauty.

We’ll enjoy lunch and wine tasting at a local winery or family home in the heart of the region. Here, you’ll experience the warm hospitality of rural Georgia—watch traditional bread being baked, learn how to prepare the local specialty “Mtsvadi” (barbecue), and take part in making Churchkhela, a beloved Georgian sweet made from walnuts and grape juice.

In the evening, we return to Tbilisi for a farewell dinner at a local restaurant—our final night together to toast new memories and shared adventures.
