On Assignment … Colors of Cambodia

WOW! Travel Small Group Travel

6 AM.

I’m propped up in bed at Le Carnot Hotel (with the world’s HARDEST mattresses, by the way….) in the old quarter of Hanoi. The unceasing flow of motorbikes surges past on the street below. Just arrived here late last night after three memorable days in Siem Reap, Cambodia.

Deadline for submission for my weekly Friday morning blog post is NOW. Too much to see and do – and not enough time to record it. So, a few photos will have to suffice until I have more time for stories!  Hope you enjoy!

The water color artist at Angkor Wat……the picture on the left with the monks is similar to one I bought from him….$10! Hangs in a prominent spot in my den and brings back very good memories!! Of course, it cost 5 times more to frame it than I paid for it. And, when you purchase his paintings, he rolls them up and puts them into a sleeve made out of braided palm fronds!!! I wish I would have taken his picture!
