In the evening we’ll be hosted by local families for dinner – learning about the life of the locals while enjoying a delicious home-cooked meal.

We’ll top off the evening with a cocktail and canapés reception before sitting down to a delightful dinner at the hotel.

WEDNESDAY, March 27th – Rotorua and the Maoris

Experience the fascinating Maori culture today as we spend time with a Maori guide who will take us out for a day of cultural and thermal experiences! We’ll tour the Maori village of Whakarewarewa, explore the thermal geysers, visit a local school and church and top it off with a forest Kiwi encounter!

THURSDAY, March 28th – Rotorua to Wellington

Upon arrival in Wellington, we’ll head to Te Papa Museum for a private tour of this one-of-a-kind experiences! After a sightseeing tour of the city, we’ll enjoy a cable car ride, followed by lunch at Rose Cafe. Weta Cave will be our next stop where we’ll get a behind-the-scenes look at special effects designers for Lord of the Rings, The Chronicles of Narnia, and District 9. After a fun day we’ll check into the Wellington Sofitel and an evening and dinner on your own.

FRIDAY, March 29th – Wellington to Queenstown

After breakfast we’ll take an easy flight to Queenstown. We’ll transfer to the Rees Hotel, located on the stunning shores of Lake Wakatipu. Spectacular lake view rooms for all! Spend the day at your leisure exploring Queenstown. We’ll regroup for dinner to dine in one of the local restaurants.

SATURDAY, March 30th – Queenstown

After breakfast depart for a tour of the local area and breathtaking scenery. We’ll enjoy lunch at a local winery before touring the picturesque Skippers Canyon. After a full day of soaking in the local beauty, we’ll return to the hotel for dinner on your own.

SUNDAY, March 31st – Queenstown/Arrowtown

Spend the first part of your day with lunch on your own. In the evening we’ll head to Arrowtown, a quaint mining town with gold rush history with free time to peruse the local shops, followed by a private museum visit. We’ll cap it all off with dinner at a local Arrowtown restaurant.

MONDAY, April 1st – Queenstown/Overnight Milford Sound

Pack and overnight bag and depart for Milford sound by luxury motorcoach – your room at the Rees will still be yours for the night, so pack lightly! We’ll be stopping for lunch at a lovely cafe en route. Late afternoon arrival at your vessel where you will spend the night cruising through the spectacular Milford Sound – at the top of the bucket list for every traveler! We’ll enjoy dinner onboard.

TUESDAY, April 2nd – Milford Sound/Queenstown

Enjoy breakfast onboard and soak in the last of the stunning scenery. We’ll disembark mid-morning for our flight back to Queenstown, then back to the hotel where you’ll spend the afternoon and lunch on your own. We’ll regroup for dinner, where we’ll spend our last evening together dining in one of Queenstown’s culinary hotspots!

THE REES HOTEL – Queenstown – 4 Nights

The Rees Hotel Queenstown is a sophisticated five-star hotel situated on the shores of Lake Wakatipu, on the South Island of New Zealand. Your lake-view rooms feature terraces, showcasing spectacular views across the lake to the alpine panorama of the Remarkables Mountain Range (yes, they’re actually called “The Remarkables!”).

Frequently Asked Questions

What will the weather be like? For the most part the weather will range from the mid 60’s to mid 70’s during the day, mid 50’s at night on the North Island and the mid 50’s to low 60’s during the day, mid 40’s at night on the South Island.

What about Wi-Fi?  If you must stay connected during your trip, Wi-Fi is free and reliable everywhere on this journey.

What about airfare? International airfare is not included in the package. CTP can assist you with making reservations for a service fee of $50 per person. Airfare within New Zealand IS included in your package and arrangements will be made by WOW! Travel Club staff.

What is the dress code? There is no need for formal attire; comfortable, casual clothing and shoes are suggested.

Will I need an adaptor to plug in my appliances and chargers? YES! The electric current is 230 volts. Most cell phone and computer chargers allow for voltage between 110 and 230 so you will only need an adapter for the plugs. You will need a Type I adaptor.

Can I use my cell phone in New Zealand? With most providers, it’s best to activate an international data and telephone plan. We suggest that you contact your carrier to discuss potential costs for data and voice communications.

What is the currency? New Zealand dollars are used throughout all of New Zealand. We suggest using ATM machines to withdraw local currency as needed and use your credit or debit card to pay for meals, taxis and purchases. (Some shops and restaurants do not accept American Express.)  It’s best to advise your bank and credit card company of your plans to travel to New Zealand so there will be no suspicion of fraudulent activity. Ask about transaction fees.

As of this writing (7/25/18), one US Dollar will get you approximately 1.471 New Zealand dollars.

  • I understand that travel requires patience, a positive attitude, and an ability to laugh. If I can’t relax and enjoy the unexpected, I vow to stay home!
  • I vow to refrain from any discussion within the group related to US politics!

NEW ZEALAND – Bucket List Destination!

COST:
$7,795 per person, double occupancy (couple or roommate share)
$11,685 per person, single occupancy

AIR TRANSPORTATION:
International: You may make your own flight arrangements or we can assist with a $50 per person service fee. We cannot book mileage tickets or upgrades, which must be done directly with the carrier. If you would like us to assist, contact Gabriel Haigazian at gabriel@thectpgroup.com or call him at 818-444-2700. It is the responsibility of the traveler to provide the legal name as on the passport. Passport must be valid for six months from return date. Carriers may deny boarding if name on ticket does not match name on passport.

Within New Zealand: All air travel within New Zealand is included in the price of your journey and will be made by WOW! Travel Club staff.

PAYMENT SCHEDULE:
Space is limited. Reservations will be made on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • Deposit: $1,500 per person (double occupancy) at time of registration ($500 of which is non-refundable). $2,500 per person for single occupancy registration ($500 of which is non-refundable)
  • Final payment: Balance due December 3, 2018

CANCELLATION:
If unforeseen events happen that force you to cancel, we will try to resell your space. Penalties vary depending on the date of cancellation:

  • From time of booking to December 3, 2018: Forfeiture of $500 non-refundable portion of deposit, per person
  • After December 4, 2018: No refund, unless your spot is resold*

*If we are able to fill your place, we will refund all monies, less the $500 non-refundable portion of deposit

SUPPLEMENTAL TRAVEL INSURANCE FOR TRIP CANCELLATION/INTERRUPTION:

RATES:
All rates quoted are based on tariffs and exchange rates in effect as of July 31, 2018, and are subject to change. Rates are based on a minimum group size of 20 paying guests. Should the group size(s) be smaller than this, package price or inclusions may be modified. Unused tour items, missed meals or activites, etc. are not refundable.

TIPS AND TAXES:
The package includes all service charges and taxes imposed by hotels and all entrance fees to museums, etc. Basic gratuities to drivers, guides and porters are included. You are welcome to extend additional gratuities for anyone who has provided exemplary service.

BAGGAGE:
Please check applicable baggage allowances and fees with your airline carrier.

PASSPORT:
You must have a valid passport with at least 3 months validity from the date of re-entry to your home country. However, as a rule-of-thumb, we recommend renewing your passport six months prior to the expiration date.

HEALTH/VACCINATIONS:
Consult your physician for recommendations. Additional information regarding Traveler’s Health precautions is available at the website for the Centers for Disease Control (CDC).

TRAVEL DOCUMENTS:
Final travel documents will be sent to your mailing address about two weeks prior to departure.

RISKS OF TRAVEL AND YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
International travel involves inherent risks. The CTP Group/WOW! Travel Club (CTP/WOW) cannot be liable for any injury, death or loss of personal property in connection with your participation in CTP/WOW activities. By participating in CTP/WOW Croatia, you assume risk of inherent dangers (including without limitation, annoyance and expenses) related to military or political action, civil disturbances, quarantine, strikes, detention, mental trauma, pilferage, weather, epidemiological events, acts of God or any other circumstances over which CTP/WOW has no control.

I understand that CTP/WOW reserves the right to refuse as a trip participant or remove from a trip, any person it judges to be incapable of meeting the rigors and requirements of participating in activities, or who it determines to detract from the enjoyment of the trip by others. I agree to follow all written and verbal rules of safety presented to me by CTP/WOW. CTP/WOW reserves the right to make route, hotel, itinerary and trip modifications as required or desirable to improve the trip quality and/or to accommodate the comfort and well-being of guests.

CTP/WOW reserves the right to alter or cancel any trip due to weather, sickness, political climate, and/or insufficient registration or other unforeseen circumstances beyond our control. While CTP/WOW will make every effort to obtain full or partial refunds from suppliers, CTP/WOW cannot guarantee your ability to recoup payment.

The above terms and conditions are hereby expressly incorporated into the “Release, Waiver and Indemnity Agreement” to be signed by you as a WOW! Travel Club participant.

CONSENT:
Payment of the deposit OR any other partial payment for registration of a participant for CTP/WOW activities constitutes consent by all guests/participants registered by the party completing online registration. You and your guests/participants hereby agree to the Terms & Conditions of this website. The Terms & Conditions set forth on this website may not be modified or amended except in writing by an authorized officer of CTP/WOW.

All guests/participants are required to initial and sign a Release Waiver and Indemnity Agreement, which will be sent upon receipt of your deposit. Final processing of your registration payment cannot be completed until such time as CTP receives the initialed and signed “Release, Waiver, and Indemnity Agreement” of all participants/guests covered by your online registration.
