After almost two years of extremely limited travel and ever-changing travel requirements set forth by restaurants, hotels, airlines, and governments, WOW! Travel Club pulled out all the stops and brought back international travel in grand style!
Instead of wading back into the international travel pool, we decided to dive in with a huge splash!
Egypt & Jordan had been on our list for some time and it seemed fitting to visit these grand destinations as our first foray into post-lockdown travel. By all accounts, this trip was one for the record books – it was filled with awe-inspiring scenery, life changing experiences, and a group of WOWee’s (WOW! travelers) that quickly became fast friends. We ended 2021 with a bang and welcomed our travelers back to safe and responsible, international travel!
The highlights of the Egypt & Jordan trip included: Cairo; The Pyramids of Ghiza; the Sphinx – with exclusive access to beneath the paws!; a 5 star, 3-night Nile cruise; after-hours, exclusive visit to Valley of the Kings; beautiful temples; knowledgeable and personable guides; and so much more!

In February we got back to nature and repeated a favorite trip to Baja, Mexico to rub elbows (or fins, as the case may be) with the gray whales, swim with the whale sharks, glamp on our own private island retreat, and wine and dine in beautiful venues south of the border. The WOW! Travel Club enjoyed seven nights in Mexico that took us from the charming artsy community of Todos Santos to La Paz to Isla Espiritu Santo, to Magdalena Bay, and back to Todos Santos .
This is a trip that we’ve repeated a few times in the WOW! offerings and also packaged up for several private groups (it’s been a huge hit with multi-generational family groups!). It is the absolute perfect get-away and especially for those of us on the west coast – just a short flight… but a world away! It is familiar and unlike anything you’ve ever experienced all at the same time; and it is ALWAYS met with rave reviews!

March took us to Fairbanks, Alaska to view the Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights)… and nature did NOT disappoint! Our group of WOWee’s was provided a spectacular light show every night of the trip! The days were long and full – dog-sledding, ice fishing, snowmobiling, sight seeing – and the nights were even longer, filled with camaraderie, warm beverages, and nature’s amazing “drive-in movie” playing into the wee hours.
We had originally planned to view the Northern Lights in Yellowknife, Canada, but a couple months prior to the trip, the Northwest Territory of Canada was still closed to travelers. We quickly jumped into action and put together a “Plan B” that seems to have surpassed even the original planned itinerary and destination! The trip was met with absolute delight and awe. It was unlike anything we’d ever done, but definitely gets added to our list of memorable experiences.
Kenya – June 21-July 1, 2022
This trip is sure to be lauded as one of the best! It sold out only days after it was announced. We are visiting the Masai Mara and Tsavo National Park, enjoying daily game drives – safari-ing at the height of comfort and authenticity! We are staying at the best lodges, surrounded by wildlife for six days, then headed to the coast to relax, unwind, and reminisce about the experiences we shared. Click HERE for the full itinerary. Greek Isles Cruise – September 22-30 OR September 29-October 7, 2022
We’ve still got a few open spots on the second sailing – you surely don’t want to miss the boat! This amazing journey will take us to the most iconic Greek isles, as well as a few that are less touristy but just as gorgeous. Japan – November 3-12, 2022
We originally planned to visit Japan in 2020… and then again in 2021, but like all best-laid plans, both were postponed. The Japanese government has been slow to open back up, but we recently received word that the country is back open to travelers and we couldn’t be more excited! This trip will take us from Tokyo to Kyoto and all the iconic spots in between. Click HERE for the full itinerary. Egypt – November 30-December 11, 2022

We’ve heard so many people say, “I’d love to go to Cuba, but it’s not open to Americans”… we’re here to tell you that, not only is it open, but it’s just as beautiful and intriguing as ever! Italy – April of 2023
While we’re still finalizing the details of this Italian adventure, we DO know that we’ll be hitting the highlights of Italy: Lake Como, Rome, and Venice! Peru – June 23-30, 2023
We are soooo close to announcing the details of this WOW! journey that will fulfill the bucket list destination/experience for many: Machu Picchu! This adventure will take us from Lima, to the Sacred Valley, to magical Machu Picchu, and down to Cusco. It will hit all the iconic parts of Peru and in a style characteristic of a fabulous WOW! journey. Croatia – Women on the Go – July 28 – August 5, 2023
What could be better than traveling with a group of dynamic, like-minded women? Traveling through the islands of the Adriatic on our own private yacht, that’s what! Mongolia – August 19-30, 2023
Probably our most exotic destination yet! Join us as we explore intriguing Mongolia – unlike anything you’ve experienced before: from the bustling city of Ulaanbaatar, where traditional gers and Buddhist monasteries sit side by side with modern high-rises; the semi-nomadic Kazakh culture near the Kazakhstan border; horseback riding with the famed Eagle Hunters; riding camels and fossil hunting in the Gobi Desert; and so much more! Where do we start? There are soooo many jaw-dropping sights to see and so many experiences to be had in this stunningly beautiful destination – it’s hard to narrow down! We’re looking at an itinerary that will include Bangkok, Chiang Mai province, and some of the beautiful islands around Krabi. We’re so excited that we’re back out seeing the world and would love for you to join us!
